Simone Zöhrer erhielt ihren ersten Gesangsunterricht mit 14 Jahren an der Musikschule Feldkirch. Nach der Matura wurde sie an das Vorarlberger Landeskonservatorium aufgenommen.

2004 folgte der Wechsel an das Tiroler Landeskonservatorium zu Frau Dr. h.c Barbara Daniels. Sie schloss das IGP-Studium und Diplomstudium (Lied- und Oratorium) mit Auszeichnung ab.

2010 absolvierte sie das Masterstudium für Instrumental- und Gesangspädagogik am Mozarteum Salzburg.

Die junge Sopranistin besuchte Meisterkurse bei Kurt Widmer (Basel) und Lucille Evans-Villeneuve (Kanada), und den Opernkurs der Neuen Opernschule Zürich (NOZ).  Zur Zeit studiert sie mit Maestro Vito Maria Brunetti (Bozen).

Erste Bühnenerfahrungen sammelte sie in Produktionen des Landeskonservatoriums Tirol als Jack’s Mutter in  „Into the Woods“ von Stephen Sondheim, als Belinda in „Dido und Aeneas“ von Purcell, und als Chorsängerin beim Festival für Alte Musik in der Oper „Acis and Galatea“ unter der Leitung von Lars Ulrik Mortensen.

Simone Zöhrer ist als Solistin in verschiedenen Messen, Liederabenden und kammermusikalischen Besetzungen in Österreich, der Schweiz und Italien tätig. Seit 2010 ist sie Mitglied des Ensembles Piacere.

Ihre große Leidenschaft gehört den Werken der Klassik und Romantik bis zur Moderne. Weitere Schwerpunkte ihrer musikalischen Tätigkeit sieht sie im Bereich Oper und Lied. Bereits 2005 sang sie die Haiku-Lieder von Günther Andergassen in einer Livesendung des ORF.

Austrian Soprano Simone Zöhrer began singing at the age of 14 in the local music school. After matriculation she studied voice from the age 18 at the Vorarlberger Landeskonservatorium until 2004 when she continued her studies in Innsbruck with Dr.h.c. Barbara Daniels at the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium. There she received her IGP-Baccalaureate degree in addition to a Concert Diploma in Lieder and Oratorio, graduating with honors in 2006 and continuing directly on to complete her Masters Degree at the Mozarteum Salzburg in 2010.

She participated in masterclasses of Prof. Kurt Widmer (Basel), Prof. Lucille Evans-Villeneuve (Canada), and the New Opera School of Zürich (NOZ). Presently she works with Maestro Vito Maria Brunetti (Bozen).

Her first stage experiences included the roles of Jack’s Mother in Stephen Sondheim’s „Into the Woods“ and Belinda in  Herny Purcell’s „Dido and Aeneas“, both were productions of the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium. She appeared as well as a choirist in the opera „Acis and Galatea“ under the direction of Lars Ulirk Mortensen in the Festival for Ancient Music in Innsbruck.

Simone Zöhrer’s vocal interests vary to include compositions from the classical, the romantic to the modern periods with a special emphases  on opera. However, she appears regularly as sopran soloist in lieder recitals and oratorio concerts. In 2005 she performed live for Austrian Radio singing the „Haiku-Lieder“ of Günther Andergassen. As of 2010, she became soprano soloist with the chamber music ensemble  Piacere.
